CardFlight Updates Its SwipeSimple Mobile Card Reader

CardFlight has updated its SwipeSimple mobile point of sale device, which allows merchants to take payments and manage their business from smartphones and tablets.

The 2.0 version of SwipeSimple features an offline mode that allows merchants to accept payments without a live data connection. Merchants can also manage their inventory through the application and dashboard. The product also synchronizes settings across devices, enabling merchants to suggest default tip amounts and set local sales tax rates.

New York-based CardFlight launched SwipeSimple last April. CardFlight does not sell the SwipeSimple reader directly to merchants; the product is offered through resellers like banks, merchant service providers and independent sales organizations.
