Cardtronics Extends ATM Agreement with The Pantry

Cardtronics has renewed its automated teller machine services agreement with the convenience store chain, The Pantry.

Contract terms were not disclosed in a Feb. 2 press release. However, a Cardtronics spokesman said in a phone interview that this is a long-term contract extension.

The two companies started their business relationship four years ago. Cardtronics currently manages and operates more than 1,400 ATMs for The Pantry.

By extending this partnership, Cardtronics has expansion rights to operate ATMs for The Pantry in its future store locations. Additionally, The Pantry will participate in Cardtronics' surcharge-free Allpoint Network

"Renewing our agreement with Cardtronics enables us to continue providing a valuable service—convenient cash access—to our customers," said Robin Vaughn, category manager for The Pantry, in the press release.
