JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s vast ATM network is about to get a little bigger.

The $2.3 trillion banking giant is planning to install roughly 800 ATMs at ampm convenience stores/gas stations in California and four other western states.

The new ATMs began arriving at ARCO-branded ampm stores in November, and Chase expects all to be installed by the end of March. About 75% of the machines will be in California, and the rest will be located in stores in Oregon, Arizona, Washington and Nevada.

The new ATMs would make banking more convenient for millions of the bank's customers, Jim Sutton, Chase's head of ATM distribution and employment, said in a news release. ATMs in select locations would also be able to accept deposits, he added.

Once all the ATMs are installed, Chase would deploy roughly 4,000 ATMs in California and about 17,500 worldwide.
