Co-Op Financial Services is enhancing its at-home remote deposit-capture service to enable credit unions to reach out to small-business owners who might want to electronically submit checks without visiting a branch, the company announced Nov. 15.
Small-business owners interested in the service may purchase a high-speed scanner from Co-Op. Available scanners include those that can process dozens of checks per minute or a single-read scanner that can read both sides of the check at once. Co-Op did not reveal scanner prices in a press release.
Users also need a personal computer with an Internet connection to access Co-Op’s web-based check-deposit platform. A mobile option is not available.
