Collective POS Using Hypercom Terminals To Cut Processing Costs

Collective Point of Sale Solutions Ltd., a Toronto-based merchant-services provider, is deploying Hypercom Corp. point-of-sale terminals to split and transmit EMV credit and debit card transactions to the least-costly processors, the companies announced July 12.

Collective POS is distributing 2,000 Optimum T4220 countertop POS terminals with SPOS32 magnetic stripe and EMV software, the companies said in a press release. The merchant-service provider also is using Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Hypercom’s Term-Master Suite terminal-management software to streamline terminal set-up and management, the release said.

Collective POS serves more than 10,000 businesses across Canada, Michael Beck, company president, said in the release.
