ATM manufacturer Diebold Inc. is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year with a new brand strategy and tagline, "Innovation Delivered." Carl Diebold founded the company in 1859 as a lock and safe company in Cincinnati. North Canton, Ohio-based Diebold, the world's third-largest manufacturer based on 2007 shipments, sold its first ATM in the U.S. in 1973. "We reflect on our extensive history and remember the pioneers who came before us, who laid the foundation for our company," Thomas Swidarski, Diebold president CEO, said in a statement.
