The Euro Alliance of Payment Schemes has appointed Antonio Galiano as vice chairman of its board of directors.

Galiano is the head of payment cards and schemes at Italian Iccrea Banca and will work with the alliance’s current chairman, Peter Blasche, to connect debit card networks across Europe.
Galliano has more than 13 years of experience in the European card-payment industry. Before joining Iccrea Banca, he worked for American Express Co., UniCredit Group and Capitalia. He is also a board member at Consorzio Bancomat, Italy’s national debit network.
