First Data has named retired JPMorgan senior executive Heidi Miller to its board of directors.
Miller joined First Data on April 14, the payments processing company said in a press release today.
Miller brings "incredible knowledge and experience" along with cultural awareness that will be of great value to First Data's efforts to transform into a global firm, says

Miller retired in 2012 as president of JPMorgan International, a division of JPMorgan Chase, after serving as CEO of JPMorgan Chase's treasury and security services and leading 35,000 people in 50 countries.
Prior to joining JPMorgan, Miller held various executive posts at Bank One Corp., Citigroup, General Mills and Progressive Corp.
"With her long list of accomplishments and keen insight into the effective management of global companies, we are extremely honored to have Heidi Miller join the board," says Henry R. Kravis, director for First Data and co-founder of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR), in the release. First Data was acquired by an affiliate of KKR and became a private company in 2007.
Miller's accomplishments have been recognized by, among others, American Banker's Most Powerful Women in Banking from 2003-2010 and Crain's list of the "50 Most Powerful Women in New York" in 2008.
