The National Bank of Kuwait has renewed its credit card processing agreement with United States-based First Data Corp.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti financial institution said it signed its first processing deal with First Data in 2001. That deal enabled the bank to convert its credit card portfolio to First Data’s FirstVision platform.
The Kuwaiti bank issues Visa- and MasterCard-branded credit and debit cards.
First Data also says it has signed a four-year processing deal with the International Bank of Qatar. The bank also issues MasterCard- and Visa-branded cards and will use the FirstVision processing service.
