Former Klarna North America chief Billingsley joins Modo

Modo, a payments operability provider, has added Brian Billingsley, Former CEO of Klarna North America will be joining the firm as Chief Revenue Officer.

While a newcomer to Modo, Billingsley has collaborated with the company in the past, such as the partnership between Klarna and Modo announced at last year’s Money2020 Europe event. Modo claims that the collaboration allows Klarna to interoperate with online merchants in a fraction of the time of traditional integrations by accelerating implementation of the Klarna checkout solution for e-retailers worldwide.

At Klarna, Billingsley helped lead the company's expansion into the North American market, which includes updates to its technology.

"All I wanted for Christmas was for Brian to join the team, and Santa really came through for this lucky payments geek this year," said Bruce Parker, Founder & CEO of Modo in the press release.

Prior to his tenure at Klarna, Billingsley was Director, Strategic Business Development at Alliance Data and a strategist at FIS.
