The deal is General Payment Systems’ first in the probation market.

Probationers will be able to complete the required monthly check-ins and make payments using thermal fingerprint biometric technology. The CSRA and Georgia Corrections Corp. say the biometric system will make complying with probation terms easier.

“With a large book of probations accounts, we hope to soon become a popular method for the monthly payments and fees required for probation," says Ronald Hodge, CEO of General Payment Systems, in an Oct. 23 press release.

General Payment Systems provides government agencies with hardware and software systems to automate payment acceptance, accounting and risk mitigation. It recently developed technology to automate check payments
