GlobalCollect To Process Networking Site's Payments

GlobalCollect has won a contract to process payments for Sonico.com, a social networking site based in Argentina, a spokesperson for the Netherlands-based payments-service provider tells CardLine Global. Sonico claims 40 million registered users. GlobalCollect will process payments from consumers for subscriptions using credit cards carrying the American Express, MasterCard and Visa brands. GlobalCollect says it already processes online payments for a Sonico sister company, Clon Communications, which sells prepaid cards. GlobalCollect, which has other clients in Latin America, plans "soon" to open an office in Buenos Aires, the spokesperson says.
