Heartland Payment Systems Inc. has introduced a service that streamlines payroll data, credit card sales and credit card tip data for restaurateurs at the point of sale, the transaction processor announced May 23.
Called Tip Manager, the service gives restaurant owners the ability to produce reports to assist auditors in the event of any kind of tax investigation, the Princeton, N.J.-based company said in a news release. Heartland says it developed with the input of industry experts and regulators.
“Heartland understands that tip reporting can often be challenging for many restaurants,” Mark Strippy, Heartland’s executive director of payroll services, said in the release. “We have developed Heartland Tip Manager to help address one of the toughest issues in the industry.”
