Payments application provider
The Ixaris payment technology will be available through Sabre Virtual Payments, which travel buyers will use to streamline payments and avoid extra fees when paying airlines or hotels. Sabre provides a global distribution network of airlines and hotels for online travel agencies.
The partnership first focuses on Europe, but it will help fuel Ixaris plans to enter into the Americas and Asia Pacific markets in the future.
“We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Sabre, and this is a strong endorsement of our innovative payments offering,” Ixaris CEO Aran Brown said in a Friday press release. “We’re pleased that Sabre has now partnered with Ixaris, as Sabre Virtual Payments with Ixaris delivers an invaluable solution to more travel buyers and online travel agents in the EMEA region than ever before.”
The partnership provides Sabre Virtual Payments’ customers with the ability to complete the booking and payment process on one platform with minimal integration required, and without any change to their current workflows.
Ixaris provides Sabre Virtual Payments’ agencies with the opportunity to manage financial incentives, and avoid merchant fees when booking with low-cost carriers.
“To truly meet the needs of our customers, we must streamline and optimize payments for travel agents, and with Ixaris, we are able to do exactly that,” Robin Boudsocq, strategic product sales head for the Sabre Travel Network, said in the release. “For our customers, we can now further reduce back-office overhead while ensuring a seamless booking and payment process, which is critical to reduce costs and boost profitability in this volatile travel market.”
