JetBlue Airways will become the first domestic carrier to accept Apple Pay.
Passengers will have the option to purchase food and other wares with an iPhone 6 or an
JetBlue will provide its crewmembers with iPad minis and Near Field Communication-enabled cases to accept contactless Apple Pay purchases.
"The sky is definitely not the limit when it comes to mobile payments with Apple Pay," Marty St. George, a senior vice president at JetBlue, said in the release. "Customers want an easy and fast transaction when they decide to make an on-board purchase so that they can bet back to enjoying their flight."
Since launching in September, 750 banks and credit unions have enlisted Apple Pay, according to Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook.
