Global Collect B.V. has signed an agreement to process credit card payments for Royal Jordanian Airlines, the companies announced March 28.
The agreement covers the processing of card payments made in 25 currencies from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, Asia and North America, the companies noted in a press release. The agreement also covers flight bookings made by phone when using the airline’s call center.
Under the contract’s terms, the companies could expand their partnership to enable passengers to use alternative payment methods, such as cash and bank funds transfers, to cater to customers preferring noncard payments.
Jordan’s official airline, Royal Jordanian has 30 aircraft and flies to more than58 destinations worldwide.
GlobalCollect provides local e-payment services for international card-not-present channels such as Internet, mail and telephone orders. The Netherlands-based company processes payments initiated with all major credit and debit cards, direct debits, and other payment methods.
Both parties declined to comment beyond what they included in the press release.
