Jumio Inc., which provides technology for accepting card payments through a webcam or smartphone camera, hired Michael Orlando as its chief sales officer.

Orlando was most recently senior vice president of global sales and services at CyberSource, a unit of Visa Inc. Orlando served in a primary role during Visa's 2010 purchase of CyberSource, Jumio said in an Oct. 11 press release.
"We see tremendous opportunity in the market to create a better experience in online payments and identity verification for both consumers and businesses alike," said Daniel Mattes, CEO and founder of Jumio, in the release. "Michael's sales expertise will be a great asset as we look to capitalize on that opportunity and continue to grow our business."
