The card is first to market in the U.S., the credit union said, and is targeted to those who live overseas or are frequent international travelers.

The GlobeTrek Visa has no annual fee, no cash advance fee and no balance transfer fee. In addition, the card provides a 3.9% introductory rate for 9 months on all purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances. Members earn one reward point for every dollar spent and receive 5,000 rewards points when they use their card for the first time.

“Our overseas members have been asking for this product and we know it will provide greater convenience for them,” said Chris McDonald, president of the $1.2 billion credit union.
