MasterCard Adds New Deputy General Counsel

MasterCard Worldwide has named Michael F. McEneney to the new position of deputy general counsel, the card brand announced March 31. McEneney will oversee global public policy, regulatory advocacy, litigation, and the legal teams for MasterCard’s products and advisory services.

Reporting to Noah J. Hanft, the company’s general counsel and chief integrity officer, McEneney will divide his time working in MasterCard’s Purchase, N.Y., headquarters and in Washington, D.C.

McEneney previously was a partner at Sidley & Austin LLP in Washington, D.C., where he advised clients, including MasterCard, on a broad range of financial-services issues.
