The new site was created in response to hundreds of small- and medium-sized businesses that had indicated the need to reduce costs, increase operational efficiency and engage more with new and existing customers.

"We give business owners the information they need, at the moment they need it, helping their businesses grow," said Jay Singer, MasterCard's senior vice president of U.S. commercial products, in a May 4 press release. "We are now offering these tools at significant savings."

Its latest offerings include C-suite-level financial, marketing and data management applications at discounts of up to 70% of their retail prices.

The available tools handle accounting, e-commerce site building and hosting, expense management, data backup and storage, email marketing, automated customer service, search campaigns, contracts and legal advice.

The site is powered by cloud marketplace provider Business Centric Services Group.

The MasterCard Business Network launched in 2012 as a product that would enable smaller companies to mimic the capabilities of big-business expense systems.
