PayPal will integrate with Micros’ point of sale systems to enable online, mobile and card payments. Micros’ technology is used at hundreds of thousands of merchant locations globally.

As part of the PayPal collaboration, Micros will also establish a Center of Excellence to provide consultation to support the building and activation of payments technology.

"Micros provides PayPal with a broader and deeper reach into hospitality and retail verticals, where they are tremendously strong, and where opportunities are limitless to build amazing payments experience at the point of sale," says Don Kingsborough, vice president of retail services at PayPal, in a release.

The Micros strategy follows on the heels of PayPal’s partnership with small business payments processor Mercury Payment Systems, and is part of  PayPal’s ongoing strategy to expand its in-store presence.
