The pact follows recent deals between Western Union and Iowa’s Veridian Credit Union and Alabama’s Redstone Federal Credit Union two weeks ago.

"Western Union services will allow MidFlorida members a reliable and convenient method of moving money from place to place and person to person," said Michael Cheeseman, senior vice president for Lakeland, Fla.-based credit union.

Through the agreement with Western Union, MidFlorida members will have the ability to send and receive domestic or international money transfers with funds accessible for pay-out at more than 500,000 Western Union Agent locations in more than 200 countries and territories, and make urgent payments conveniently and quickly to an extensive biller network.
