NXT-ID's Wocket to Retail on Amazon Launchpad

Amazon has accepted NXT-ID's Wocket smart wallet to retail on its Launchpad program.

The Wocket device is meant to store multiple card accounts, which it writes to an included plastic payment card whenever the user decides to make a purchase. NXT-ID said in a September 18 press release that it will soon announce a date for Wocket's debut on Amazon Launchpad. The new Amazon program was introduced in July as a way for emerging companies to showcase innovative products, and it provides marketing through Amazon, brand development for its digital storefront and the option to expand globally at the brand's discretion.

Gino Pereira, NXT-ID's chief executive, noted in the release that the company's sales of Wocket increased in the third quarter over the second and that it is ramping up its marketing of the product in advance of the holiday season.

NXT-ID began shipping the Wocket in April, over a year since the mobile payment device was unveiled.
