Paysafecard Group has launched a service that enables consumers in Spain to buy prepaid vouchers at ATMs, a spokesperson for the Austria-based prepaid-payments company tells CardLine Global. Customers can buy the vouchers at cash machines deployed by Caixa Galicia, a Spanish bank. Spanish prepaid and processing firm TelePay also is involved in the deal, which marks the first ATM distribution for Paysafecard's online vouchers, the spokesperson says. Consumers typically pay a small fee for the vouchers, which contain 16-digit codes used when making online purchases. ATMs print the vouchers in the same way the machines print receipts, the spokesperson says. About 1,000 ATMs will offer the vouchers, the spokesperson adds. Paysafecard recently expanded its voucher scheme for online shopping to Argentina (CardLine Global, 5 June). Meanwhile, United Kingdom-based Ukash, another firm that sells prepaid vouchers for online purchases, earlier this week announced an expansion in Germany (CardLine Global, 7 July), following other deals in Portugal and Spain.
