Mobile point of sale processor payworks and European hospitality technology provider Orderman are designing mobile terminals for chip-and-PIN cards.

The Orderman/payworks integration will allow merchants using Orderman terminals to equip their staff with a small card reader, which is designed to replace conventional wireless terminals. All payment traffic is handled through the Orderman Secure Radio (OSR) protocol.
Orderman also plans to build a variety of different mobile point of sale products on top of the payworks development interfaces. "We believe that mobile point of sale offers a huge potential for merchants to increase efficiency, gain more profits and provide a higher customer satisfaction," says Andreas Neuhofer, Director of Marketing for Orderman, in an Oct. 16 press release.
