Pulse Opts For HP Service To Boost Processing Capacity

Discover Financial Services' Pulse electronic funds transfer network will use Hewlett-Packard's Converged Infrastructure to increase its transaction processing capacity, HP announced earlier this week.

The debit network worked with HP to develop a strategy that would support almost five times more transaction processing than its previous platform, HP said in a press release.

Pulse selected a Converged Infrastructure that includes three HP Integrity NonStop NB50000c BladeSystem infrastructure platforms. This offers a combination of servers, networking and storage that scales and reduces unplanned downtime, HP said.
