Qiwi Hires New Head of Remittances and E-Commerce

Russian payments company Qiwi has hired Dmitry Danilenko as the head of its international money remittances and e-commerce division.

In this position, Danilenko will work to bring in new international partners for Qiwi's remittances and e-commerce segments. He joins the company July 6.

Danilenko "has the necessary experience in implementing major corporate projects in the fields of money remittances and e-commerce," said managing director of Qiwi Group Anna Stoklitskaya in a June 29 news release. "International business development is one of key priorities for Qiwi Group, and we are very enthusiastic to welcome a new manager with the highest degree of expertise in his professional field to our team."

Prior to joining Qiwi, Danilenko most recently worked as the commercial director for Yandex.Money since 2012. There, he coordinated with international and Russian electronic payment providers and banks and spearheaded key e-commerce partnership deals. He also previously worked as the commercial director for the Begun Company, handling advertising strategy.
