Quicken is working with PayNearMe's Prism RESTful API to allow customers to see real-time transaction data and historical account information from significantly more billers in the Quicken personal finance platform.
“Prism API enables us to better support our customers by providing them with real-time insight into future cash-flow needs and upcoming bill amounts," Daniel A. Chen, Quicken’s head of business development, said in a Jan. 18 news release. "It also enables us to monitor changes in a biller’s service that may affect our customers before they are noticed."
Automated monitoring also allows Quicken to troubleshoot more quickly than using its previous manual process, Chen said. The changes should go unnoticed by customers, though they may find they can view and track billers they previously couldn’t.
PayNearMe's three core offerings form a money movement platform for consumer bill payments for consumers, cash payment collection for businesses and bill presentment technology for financial institutions.
