The Royal Bank of Scotland is consolidating its payment-processing services under the RBS WorldPay brand, a bank spokesperson tells CardLine Global. The brand will take over for seven brands the United Kingdom-based financial institution previously used for its processing services: Streamline, Streamline International, WorldPay, Payment Trust, Bibit, Risk Guardian and RBS Lynk. The new brand includes processing operations in at least 40 countries. The brands that have come under the RBS WorldPay banner processed about 4.4 billion transactions in 2007, the bank says. "Over the years we have grown by evolution, including acquisitions," Ron Kalifa, RBS WorldPay managing director, says in a statement. "It is time that we brought all these … brands together under one roof."
