Samsung Pay now supports cards issued by Wells Fargo, giving it compatibility with 70% of the U.S. credit and debit card market.
The bank's customers will be able to use Samsung Pay on a variety of Samsung-manufactured phones, including the newly announced Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the companies announced Wednesday.
Samsung Pay launched in the U.S. in September with the support of issuers Bank of America, Citigroup, American Express and U.S. Bancorp.
Samsung's mobile wallet, like Apple Pay and Android Pay, enables Near Field Communication-based contactless payments at the point of sale. Unlike its rivals, Samsung Pay also wirelessly emulates a magstripe signal to give it compatibility with non-NFC terminals.
