The company's board will appoint an executive management committee led by Etienne Van den Bogaert, SCCP's CTO and acting CEO; and including Doug Merryman, president of the Americas; Erik Holst-Roness, chief strategy officer and president of the Middle East and Asia; and Benoit Delestre, president of Europe.

"I am very excited to be moving to the next stage of my journey and that of the company I founded and grew," says Cle in a Dec. 18 press release.  The company did not further explain why Cle left the CEO role.

"I have every confidence in Etienne and the executive committee in their ability to lead the group to even greater global growth," Cle says in the release. "I look forward to continuing to be involved in the company's development."

The Singapore-based SCCP's product line includes Swiff, a mobile payment technology suite for card issuers and merchant acquirers.

MasterCard began offering the Swiff mobile point of sale technology through the card network's DataCash processing and risk management subsidiary in October. Visa approved SCCP's chip-and-PIN technology in August.
