The Sri Lankan arm of United Kingdom-based financial institution HSBC Holdings PLC says it has launched a service that enables credit cardholders in Sri Lanka to pay their card bills at local outlets of sewing-machine firm Singer Corp. Customers who use the service will pay 0.75% of the repayment amount as a service fee. That charge will show up on the next credit card bill, HSBC says in a statement. Cardholders already can pay their bills at more than 700 other locations, including supermarkets, post offices and bank branches.
