Total System Services Inc., or TSYS, has signed a long-term agreement with Clearent LLC to extend their merchant services processing relationship, TSYS announced Sept. 7.
Under the agreement, TSYS will provide transaction-authorization and other payment services for Clearent’s merchant customers, according to a press release.
The companies initially began working together in 2006, according to a TSYS spokesperson.
In the release, Clayton, Mo.-based Clearent said it is on pace for another record-setting year for its credit card processing services, attributing its triple-digit growth rate to the TSYS relationship.
“This new agreement reaffirms our commitment to Clearent’s success and our pledge to be a trusted provider of product and technology [services] for merchant acquirers,” Mark Pyke, president of TSYS Acquiring Solutions, said in the release.
