Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. has reached an agreement to provide Southeast Bank Ltd.’s debit cardholders access to its ATM and point-of-sale debit networks in Bangladesh, the two Dhaka-based banks announced in a statement.
Under the agreement, Southeast’s debit card customers may access Dutch-Bangla’s 745 ATMs and approximately 700 POS terminals across the country to make cash withdrawals and purchases.
Southeast, which does not operate ATMs or POS terminals, began issuing Visa-branded debit cards at the beginning of this year.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but cardholders may access the networks at no charge to them.
