UniCredit Group has awarded GmbH a three-year contract to supply electronic-payment services for banks in UniCredit’s international banking network, the Germany-based technology provider announced Jan. 17. The contract took effect Jan. 1.

Giesecke & Devrient said in a news release it will provide such payment services as dual-interface cards, comprehensive payment-systems support, technical consulting and card personalization.
UniCredit’s largest markets include Germany, Italy and Poland. Giesecke & Devrient said it already offers its services to UniCredit’s German operation, HypoVereinsbank.
