Visa Europe Invests In Global Authentication Company

Visa Europe has made an undisclosed investment in Australia-based Emue Technologies Pty Ltd. The card company has been working with Visa Europe over the past 18 months to develop the Visa CodeSecure authentication and transaction-security product through a payment card that has an embedded display, microprocessor and keypad. Several banks are piloting Visa CodeSecure in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy and Israel, Visa Europe says. "We are working with Emue to develop the Visa CodeSecure product to bring innovative card technology designed to combat online fraud both now and in the future," Sandra Alzetta, Visa Europe senior vice president, said in a statement.
