Worldline and CashSentinel will work on services that will fit requirements for traditional online marketplaces for physical products, franchise systems, self-checkout solutions and smart city apps.
In addition to card payments, merchants can expect to offer domestic schemes like
"The marketplace is growing in Europe, while the regulatory context around money and data flows is becoming more complex," Sylvain Bertolus, CEO of CashSentinel, said in a Tuesday press release. "In this environment, it makes sense for marketplaces to look for turn-key, all-in-one payment solutions."
The solution from Worldline and CashSentinel also automates payments between the marketplace and its merchants to reduce administrative tasks for all participants.
Worldline has been working with CashSentinel since 2017, when the two companies participated in a Swiss incubator and accelerator program.
"Thanks to our relationship with CashSentinel, we are able to expand our existing card-acceptance for marketplaces with additional non-card payment solutions, and also deliver integrated solutions to the growing numbers of marketplaces including an automated onboarding and reporting tool," Roger Niederer, chief market officer for merchant services at Worldline, said in the release.
