Merchant processor WorldPay is reselling mobile-payments technology from vendor CellPoint Mobile that will allow clients’ customers to conduct transactions in several ways.

On April 19, CellPoint said WorldPay clients may accept remote-mobile, proximity, online and point-of-sale payments with the program for both retail and transportation companies.

WorldPay, formerly RBS WorldPay, is using CellPoint’s mPoint, mTicket and mRetail products.

“We selected CellPoint Mobile based on its best in class mobile [services] and ability to provide our customers with a fast time to market using proven technology,” Gabriel Hopkins, the head of ecommerce products at WorldPay, said in a CellPoint press release.

WorldPay is partly owned by private equity firms Advent International Corp. and Bain Capital LLC, which acquired a majority stake in the processor from Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC. RBS, which retained a minority interest in the company, agreed to sell it as part of its bailout with European banking regulators.
