SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Teachers CU has broken ground on a new green branch in Moran Prairie, which will be the $1.6-billion credit union’s 16th branch.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Consumers CU opened two new branches this week, in Kalamazoo and Mattawan.

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. – River Valley CU announced it is going to close its branch at the Windham Regional Career Center, which it opened to provide financial education.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Navy FCU will open its first new branch of the year this morning outside March Air Reserve Base, the fifth Navy Federal branch in Riverside County.

PITTSBURGH – Century Heritage FCU, one of 19 local institutions sued by a legally blind consumer over the ATM provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, has agreed to upgrade its ATMs over the next three months to provide adequate access to the blind in exchange for dismissal of a class action suit.

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Achieva CU, which is preparing to move to nearby Dunedin, has sold its 26,450-square-foot offices here for $2.8 million.

LAUREL, Miss. – Central Sunbelt FCU said it has joined CO-OP Network from CO-OP Financial Services.

OGDEN, Utah – Goldenwest CU plans to open a branch inside Dick’s Market grocery store in Centerville.

RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees’ CU celebrated its 75th anniversary yesterday with the opening of a new branch in Durham Lowe’s Grove, the site of the state’s first rural credit union in 1916.
