First Chicago Units Get High CRA Grades
First Chicago Corp. said Tuesday that three of its subsidiaries received the highest rating possible for their community reinvestment programs.
A fourth unit, American National Bank and Trust, earned a satisfactory -- the second highest of four ratings under the Community Reinvestment Act.
The company also said it plans to open more branches on Chicago's South Side in an effort to expand its offerings in low-and moderate-income neighborhoods.
The subsidiaries that received grades of outstanding were First National Bank of Chicago, First Chicago Bank of Oak Park, and First Chicago Bank of Winnetka.
