CENTER BANKS Inc, Skaneateles, N.Y., said it has named John P. Driscoll president and chief executive of the company and its subsidiary, Skaneateles Savings Bank, subject to regulatory approval.
Center Banks said Mr. Driscoll will replace Alan E. Notarpole, interim president of the company, and William J. Welch. interim president of Skaneateles Savings Bank.
Mr. Notarpole will continue as a director of both entities. Mr. Welch will resume his duties as a vice president of Skaneateles Savings Bank, responsible for community banking.
Mr. Notarpole and Mr. Welch had replaced Alec Davis, who resigned as president and chief executive of the company and its bank unit in April 1991.
Mr. Driscoll was previously president of Steamatic of Rochester, N.Y., a private environmental cleanup firm.
