BRAINTREE, Mass. -- Grossman's Inc. said it has received a commitment letter from BankAmerica Business Credit, a unit of BankAmerica Corp., for a new $60 million revolving credit facility.
A spokesman for Grossman's said the line will replace an exisiting revolving credit line for $48 million.
The spokesman said the transaction is expected to close by the end of the year.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
After several quarters of slumping investment banking and trading fees, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company reported a big uptick from that division, which helped compensate for a large decline in net interest income.
