RALEIGH, N.C. -- First Citizens Bank said it has entered into a purchase-and-assumption agreement with NationsBank Corp. for two offices in North Carolina's Rockingham County.
Subject to approval from federal and state regulators, the $5.3 billion-asset First Citizens would take over NationsBank's Stoneville and Wentworth offices, which have a combined $25.4 million in deposits.
Terms of sale were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter.
