NEW YORK - American Express Travel Related Services Co. is launching a local-currency card for use in India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
The American Express Co. unit said rupee cardmembers will be able to use their cards at over 5,000 service establishments in the three countries.
The company said it now offers cards in 28 currencies.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
