NCR sells Norwest unit an image capture system.

Norwest Bank Minnesota has bought an image capture system for its wholesale lockbox processing area from NCR Corp., according to NCR officials.

The bank is installing 20 NCR devices, called Personal Image Processors, for capturing images of checks. Dayton, Ohio-based NCR, a unit of American Telephone and Telegraph Co., will also supply 42 NCR workstations that will be used to review the check images.

The workstations run software from Rigakos Software Development Corp. of New York.,
