David N. Deutsch has established his own private investment banking firm, David N. Deutsch & Co.
The new firm will focus on acquisition and financial advice to corporations and private investor groups.
Since 1990, Mr. Deutsch had been managing director of investment banking for Congress Financial Corp., a commercial financial company specializing in asset-based lending.
Previously, Mr. Deutsch worked at Bear, Stearns & Co., Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc., and Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb Inc.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
