Centerbank, Names Executives

NEW ENGLAND

Centerbank, Waterbury, Conn., recently appointed David A. Bodor to head its new specialized finance division. This division will offer leasing, commercial real estate, asset-based lending, cash management, and trade finance products and services for businesses of all sizes. It will also serve the banking needs of municipalities and related agencies.

David J. Etter was named senior vice president and head of the new credit services division. His new responsibilities include Centerbank's commercial loan operations, loan administration, credit analysis, and appraisal review, in addition to overseeing the management of the company's commercial subperforming and nonperforming assets.

Jay A. Sonneborn was appointed to head a new credit policy division. His divisional responsibilities include managing the bank's loam review function and reporting on the quality and characteristics of the loans in the company's portfolio.

Mitchell D. Weiss was appointed president and chief executive of Center Capital Corp., the bank's equipment leasing subsidiary.

He was previously executive vice president, responsible for business development, contract administration, portfolio management, and customer service at Center Capital. He will now oversee the subsidiary's strategic direction and operations.

Thomas P. Bucci was promoted to assistant vice president at Centerbank. Thomas C. Steinberg was appointed vice president and bank financial officer. Charles C. Thomas was appointed vice president and business development manager at Affiliated Business Credit Corp.
