A company spokesman said the hirings underscore a desire to solidify operations in a volatile interest rate environment and a slumping refinance market. Mr. Moffatt came to the company from Plaza Home Mortgage, where he was executive vice president. Mr. Hassler was recruited from Guild Mortgage Co., where he oversaw a number of branches, and Ms. Chabolla joined from Plaza Home Mortgage, where she was a vice president overseeing loan shipping and post-closing audits.
