PNC Brokerage Office Opens In Pittsburgh

In an effort to draw more attention to its brokerage services, PNC Bank Corp. has opened its first stand-alone investment center in downtown Pittsburgh.

The new brokerage center, which opened Monday, is staffed with a regional sales manger and seven brokers with Series 7 licenses. The brokers were culled from several of the bank's branch brokerages.

The new 2,500-square-foot facility consists of a reception area and private work areas for each broker.

The exterior and lobby areas will feature large, continuously running digital screens with up-to-the-minute stock information.

The center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and by appointment.

The goal is to attract walk-in customers who might have other banking relationships with PNC Bank Corp.
