Card briefs: Mall of American Picks Visa as Its Dining Card

SAN FRANCISCO - Mall of America, the country's largest shopping mall, named Visa as the preferred dining card at its 22 sit-down restaurants.

National chains like Ruby Tuesday's, Tony Roma's, and Planet Hollywood, as well as local restaurants, are housed in the Bloomington, Minn., mall, which attracts more than 35 million consumers each year, the company said.

Visa and Mall of America produced a free dining guide with information on the cuisine, operating hours, and locations of all the mall food and beverage outlets.

As part of the promotion, Visa point of sale signage and promotional materials featuring "Mall of America Prefers Visa" will be displayed in all mall restaurants.

Visa will sponsor a "Favorite Server" contest, in which diners will vote for their favorite waiter or waitress. The winner will receive a free vacation.
